So. i really enjoyed this course... it has been really interesting and i have learnt lots of stuff... .

um my blogs content has really been about what has been on my mind at the time..

I don't really no who my audience is, i guess who ever is bored really.

I think that blog posts are a good way for people to say what they want and express their feelings in ways that haven't really been available before...

So i've really liked this course.. and now i'm off to Stone Fest ! ! ! !

So as of today its done, the end of networked media. I had the exam today for the subject, and after talking to just about everyone didn't answer the "what is a long tail ?" question. though now i do no what it is, found out in my tute this afternoon, maybe a little bit late :)

and i also handed in y assignment. which was quite a relief. . My data visualisation of Box office revenue. So hopefully that goes ok and then i won't have to repeat this course.

With that said I did enjoy the course it was fun and i learnt lots of new, interesting stuff.

Data Visual - What ?

So for our final assessment I have decided to create a data visualisation. Its an economic visualisation of the Box office revenue that nine movies have gathered over their run at the cinemas. I chose to do box office revenue because I thought that it was relevant to my course and it was interesting, plus it was the only idea I had. . .

I have created three graphs that make up my visualisation. the first is of the opening weekend gross that each movie made, compared to their total gross made and the difference between the two.

The second is the weekly income that each movie made at the box office.

The third is a graph of different reviews that each movie has made from three different websites.

So i got my results for my assignment today.. the website that gave me so much strife it wasn't funny... well i guess it all payed off.. cause i got a distinction... yay go me.. i guess i won't be failing this course as i thought before..

Daylight What ? ?

So daylight savings happened.. and i was fast alseep then woke up to see i had slept an hour longer than i was supposed to .. oh well... least this time i don't have a HSC exam the next day :) but can't wait till it finishes and we get an extra hour.. love that..

and woo Labour day.. holiday doing nothing.. well i would be doing something but i can't find laura...

TV mania

For all those who don't care, many of like my fab tv shows have started airing their new seasons in the US, and they are awesome. also what has been accopying a lot of my time :) and probably why i didn't finish my assignment untill 1, only 4 hours before it was due today.. oh my... whoopps.. :) anyways its not my fault its the internets for having it, but i love it cause its working, now only to get some credit before it runs out.. hopefully i will last the night :)

Spent all of last weeks lesson playing with HMTL and trying to create a website about ice cream sandwhiches... and it was a little frustrating to say the least... one tiny little thing and the whole site doesn't work and then you have to comb through the entire thing to try and find it... however it did give me a good feeling when it finally worked.. i mean i created a website from writing a couple of words... pretty cool...

would have posted sooner but having no internet has made me go loopy

Omg so if living on res wasn't fun enough already with the awesome drumming that occurs late at nights, our internet has decidied that it doesn't want to work, so for the past week i haven't had the internet and its been very annoying as i have had two essays due in....

which leads me to....

Yay i finished my essays so no more untill 2009... well apart from the exams... but still :)

so i've been studing for network media pro. and I have realised that I should learn to take better notes... as most of mine from the lectures are non legiable... which just makes everything awesome...

I have finally finished my assignment. with a day to spare... good news for me who always seems to finish about 20 minutes before its due.

Milo's adventures

So for the first assignment in my course we have to choose one out of three topics, I chose number 2.
I have to create an online exhibition in any medium (of which i chose photography) and consider a whole lot of things that is to much effort for me to write at the moment. I have to make everything liscensed yada yada, creating a rationale in the process.

the photo's that i'm going to use are going to be my own, as getting liscening permission would be exhausting. I'm creating a website using iweb and theming on the adventures of my stuffed toy, Milo around Canberra.

On Tuesday me and my friend Laura drove around to lots of places, Questacon, Parliment House, ANU, the art gallery and so on taking pictures of milo. It got us some very strange looks at some locations. and even got asked by the security guard to leave our 'bear' in the cloak room as it wasn't allowed in the art gallery... news to me...
all in all it was quite an exciting day.. and will have quite an awesome time taking the final photo's and creating the rest of the website...

Hey all, so its thursday night and I have an interview tomorrow for a potential job at a golf course... and thanks to my lovely room mates I get to go to sleep to the awesome sounds of the drums playing and my room vibrating as a result... and as you've probably figured already this is almost greatly impossible Ithought I would bore you all with an in-important blog post..

And as for the walking man... today I spent the better part of two hours editing clips of a man, wait for it.... walking.. yes and as interesting as that sounds.... it wasn't... so that was a whole lot of fun... oh wait no.. my mistake...

well i guess that's all I have to rant about tonight.....

Post secret is a great website that allows people to publish their personal secrets Anonymously for the world to see, and the site is updated every week. In reading many of the secrets I have come to realise how some of them are in fact my own secrets.. kinda scary in a way.

I am also an addict of Facebook, not hard to find i might add, seems facebook has overtaken myspace, at least where i'm living (on campus). I manage to check mine at least twice a day, and without checking and uni websites at all, i have great priorities... :)

Hey I'm Jess and this is my first post in the blogging world... I'm currently at University of Canberra and studding Media/Multimedia production. So far i'm finding the course really interesting. As one of my assignments I have to form a blog and update it once a week...
